  12. InkSwitch is a small Windows 95/98/NT program designed for users of Internet
  13. Explorer 4. InkSwitch indicates, and allows the user to change, IE4's working
  14. online/offline mode (InkSwitch does NOT indicate whether the PC is currently
  15. online). IE4's offline mode is useful when browsing offline, or reading your
  16. mail and news in Outlook Express without it attempting to connect to the
  17. internet.

  22. * Optionally load InkSwitch when Windows starts
  23. * Allows Windows to be started in an offline, online or default working mode
  24. * Immediately see IE4's current working mode before loading IE4

  26. * Supports IE4's rebuilding of the taskbar icons in the event of Explorer

  30. Installation
  31. ------------

  33. Installing InkSwitch is just a matter of clicking on the supplied install
  34. file. It will then suggest installing to C:\Program Files\Inkland\InkSwitch.
  35. You can change this destination folder if you wish. When you're happy with
  36. this, allow the install to unzip InkSwitch and run it when done. An icon will
  37. appear in the taskbar's status area (in the taskbar icon area) This icon
  38. indicates whether Internet Explorer 4 is working in offline or online mode.
  39. You can click on the icon to change the mode, or to get InkSwitch to start
  40. automatically with Windows by clicking on "Options".

  43. Uninstalling
  44. ------------

  46. As InkSwitch does not add anything to the Windows registry, uninstalling
  47. it is done by dragging the InkSwitch folder (wherever you installed it) into
  48. the Recycle Bin!

  50. N.B.
  51.     Make sure you turn off InkSwitch's "Load with Windows" option before
  52.     uninstalling it, otherwise an InkSwitch shortcut in your "StartUp"
  53.     folder (which InkSwitch creates) will not get deleted.
